Pirate FM Rugby Round-Up
7:02am 22nd December 2012
Two Cornish teams are doing the derby this weekend.
Launceston welcome Redruth on Saturday.
The Reds suffered a drubbing the last time the sides met.
But after winning five out of their last six games, Cornish All Blacks captain Josh Lord is confident they can go out and deliver at Polson Bridge: "Every game's been big but the fact that it's a derby game just makes it all that more exciting and even bigger along with the fact that we didn't have a particularly good result down at their place at the start of the season, which makes this a little bit more of a grudge match and all that more important to get a result."
Reds' forwards' coach Ashley Morcombe knows it will not be an easy match: "It's a strange one really because there's nothing at stake for this game. There's no cup, there's no league title, there's solely just passionate rugby and that's what you get when you play Launceston."
