A ninety-six year old Wadebridge woman says she is too scared to go out after being mugged in broad daylight.

Pirate FM told you how police are hunting a hooded teenager who could be as young as fourteen.

Zoe Sheppard had her handbag snatched, stuffed with her shopping, and more than £100.

She said: "He should be behind bars. It's shocking.

"I'm scared to go down there again. All that's keeping me going is that they will get him sometime because he looked a very experienced little robber."

She was walking home and had just reached the top of some steps at the end of an alleyway in West Park when she was approached from behind and had her handbag snatched from her hand.

The offender ran off down a bridal way in the direction of Egloshayle Church.

He is described as a male teenager, aged between 14 and 18 years, medium build and wearing dark clothing with a white motif between the shoulder blades on the rear of his top.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or from anyone who has any information regarding the incident.
