A teenager has been attacked by a gang in Callington.

The seventeen year old has been left with sprains and grazes after being punched by three men.

It happened as he walked near Portmellon Gardens on New Year's Day.

It is not clear why police waited two weeks to tell us about it.

The incident happened at around 2.45pm as the young man walked along an isolated path.

A police spokesperson said: "The three suspects are all white men aged 18 to 19.

"One was around 6ft 2 and medium build. He had short brown hair with a pierced right eye brow with a ring, and was wearing an all black track suit and Fila trainers.

"The second has short strawberry blond hair, and was wearing a blue/green track suit and black trainers.

"The last man was 5`10” tall and of medium build. He had short brown hair, and was wearing a grey tracksuit and white trainers.

"Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault or who may have any information and they are asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference BN/13/5."
