Cornish Diving Tot 'Snubbed' By TV Bosses

A six year old lad from Torpoint, being billed as the next Tom Daley, has been told he cannot appear on his hero's TV show.
 
Little Oscar Piper trains with Tom and was due to show off his diving on 'Splash!' this weekend.

But bosses said no because of rules on children on live telly.
 
Instead the Plymouth Olympic medallist has launched him by posting a video on YouTube.

Pirate FM has been onto ITV who said in a statement:

"ITV and other broadcasters have been working with the Government, and others in the television industry, to update the existing regulations.  A set of proposals has been put forward by the Government which we fully support.  We are now awaiting next steps."
