Benefits: Dozens Deemed 'Fit to Work'
6:18pm 30th January 2013
A quarter of people claiming sickness and disability benefits in Cornwall are fit to work.
According to government checks, more than 1200 in the Duchy will get their help withdrawn.
Mark Cock from Praze gets the support but is trying to find a job.
He tells Pirate FM he has sent out more than two and a half thousand applications, with no success: "There's me that wants to get back to work, I show willing, but I'm getting the door slammed well and truly shut in my face. It is the public liability insurance so you are beating your head against a brick wall basically."
