Cornish Carer Jailed for Abuse

Waking up behind bars: the Cornish care home worker who abused the people she was supposed to be looking after.
Fiona Salmon from Camborne sat on a woman's legs to stop her getting out of bed, sprayed deodorant at another and washed one lady's face so hard she had a nose bleed.
The 40 year old was found guilty of seven charges of ill-treatment or wilful neglect at Cornwallis in St Ives between June 2011 and January 2012.
She has been sentenced to nine months in prison.
A judge called Miss Salmon's behaviour "extremely callous" and in sentencing her, said she "had abused in a callous and unkind way the trust that was placed in [her]."
He went on to say that he "detected no remorse or regret whatsoever."
