Royal Cornwall Show New Record?
7:01am 8th June 2013
The Royal Cornwall Show could be on for a new record.
It is the final day of the Wadebridge event that has already attracted royalty.
129,000 is the most visitors ever.
Show secretary Chris Riddle tells Pirate FM it is certainly feeling busy: "People are enjoying themselves out and about; the show is looking packed as always. Yes, financially times are hard for some people, but I think they look on the show as their holiday, it's the chance for Cornwall to let its hair down and it looks like they're going to be here.
"We would love to beat the record, 129,000 plus people would be fantastic. I know that times are tougher for people, many people haven't got quite as much in their pockets as they used to have and they might be worried for jobs and so forth, so maybe that's being optimistic."
