Neil Caddy's Drivetime and Saturday Breakfast

Hi there, and welcome to my page. I love music and I love people so being on the radio is just perfect, don't you think?

It's great as we have the chance to get out-and-about too...

...visiting places like the Plymouth Ski Centre where I couldn't resist bombing-down the slope in a rubber ring...

...and attending loads of Community events like the Tintagel Christmas lights switch-on...

Plus another good thing about Pirate FM is that you never know who is gonna pop into the studio's...like James Morrison for instance...

I've lived in Cornwall all my life, and I although I have travelled a lot over the years, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I like to relax - as you can tell...

...but in a ‘former' life I was an athlete and travelled the World running at International level for Great Britain where over the years I competed in World Championships, European Championships and the World Athletics Cup to name just a few - I remain the fastest ever Cornishman over a number of distances - including the MILE - my best time of 3 minutes 55 seconds was just outside of the World Top 20 back in 1996.

These days though, life is a bit more sedentary but I have a great love of watching all sports in general - especially football. ‘My' team are Plymouth Argyle...

On the radio, there are two parts to my show - it starts at 2pm with 60 minutes of ‘Doing the Decades', where basically I throw the usual running order out of the window and play a song from the 60's, followed by a 70's song, then 80's, 90's, 00's and then something NEW before dropping back down to the 60's and starting all over again. Then after 3, we get into Drivetime where I play as much music as I possibly can, but also keep you up-to-date with the latest travel info and showbiz news...it's a great way to travel home.

Then, that brings me onto Saturday Breakfast! I am not the best person in the morning and although I struggle to get up (did you hear the one about the morning I overslept?), the early hours are definately the best part of the day - and on the show I spoil you with stacks of great music, and give you a heads-up on the weekend's sport too.

Thanks for listening-in, and you can always get in contact with the show by calling the studio on 01209 313900, or by sending a text to 07807 225102 (standard text charge).

Catch you later...

Neil x
