Pirate FM's current girl band Eden have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity over the past year after a talent search to win a place in our first ever pop group. Following their success the girls are now preparing to pass their crown onto a new group recruited through our Fame Factory competition.

After working in the studio recording their new single "Why Don't You Just...", our new girl are ready to launch at a glitzy party on Friday 30th July from 7pm at Bodmin Jail.

On the night there will be a goodbye performance and presentations to our current girl band Eden who are all going off to pastures new and the grand unveiling of the name and single of our amazing new girl band.

Entry is free but there will be a collection for Precious Lives Appeal which is being hosted by Pirate FM's James Dundon.

EDEN LAUNCH NEW SINGLE FOR THE HANDSTAND APPEAL

Our girl band Eden have launched their new single and are giving all the profits to the Handstand Appeal which raises money for two year old Marshall Janson. After contracting meningitis on Boxing Day 2008, Marshall was rushed to hospital and although he escaped brain damage, Marshall had to have both his hands and legs amputated. Over the next 16 years Marsall will require a new pair of hands and legs at least every year costing between £850,000 and £960,000 in total. This local boy has touched the hearts of the county and our Eden girls feel so passionate that they want to help make a difference.

Eden's new single "Steal the Night" was unveiled as part of a glittering fundraising party at the Glendorgal Hotel in Newquay on Saturday 27th March hosted by Pirate FM's James Dundon. Also performing were boogie-woogie jump-jive band Company B finalists from Pirate FM's Xmas Factor and dancers from Arkangels. Eden  debuting their new single featuring rapper Skrribble alongside a performance of their new set featuring tracks by Pixie Lott, Lady Gaga, Girls Aloud, Rhianna and Britney Spears. Thanks to the hundreds of fans who turned up to make it a really special night.
