The Golden Lion's menus offer an extensive choice of interesting dishes selected from the best of English, European and Asian cuisine, and we pride ourselves on using local ingredients from Cornwall food and drink producers wherever possible. Complement your meal with a wine from our extensive New World and European Wine List or a pint of Cask Marque real ale from St.Austell Brewery.
The newly built heated garden shelter has proved extremely popular with both our smoking and non-smoking customers who prefer a drink or a meal al fresco enjoying our gardens and sumptuous hanging flower baskets, whatever the weather. They are a family business, catering to families, groups, locals, visitors and campers.  Whether it's Sunday Lunch, Christmas Dinner or just a relaxing meal to celebrate something with someone special, our Lakeside Restaurant provides the perfect setting. During the day our large conservatory-style windows provide plenty of light as well as wonderful views of our award-winning gardens and Stithians Lake. With level access, disabled toilet, baby changing facilities and highchairs our Restaurant suits diners from nine months to ninety years of age.
Of an evening the candle-lit tables and softly lit views of the gardens provide a warm and intimate setting to enjoy a meal with friends, family or just your favourite person. The Golden Lion Inn retains all the charm and atmosphere of its traditional roots as a Cornish country pub, with its oak beamed granite bar area, boasting three real log fires, slate floors, and high-back settles.  Dogs and their owners are also welcome in our bar area, where we provide the same menu choice and levels of table service as in our Lakeside Restaurant.
The award winning mature gardens are a wonderful location to enjoy the best of the County's food and drink when the weather smiles upon us, and even when the weather is a little cooler our new heated Garden Shelter extends the al fresco experience throughout the year.
