For Individuals

Are you worried that the economic climate means that your current employment is not secure? Are you being affected by Redundancy? Do you need to update your skills or re-train to stay in or obtain employment?

The European Social Fund (Convergence) is providing funding to train those in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, being affected by downsizing or redundancy, through the Skills Support for Redundancy project.  

A range of skills training is available such as NVQs, IT training, and short courses. Help is also available with writing CVs, covering letters and applications and interview preparation and techniques.

If you are aged 19+, and need to update existing skills or would like to acquire new ones that will help to you to stay in employment, please contact any of the organisations listed below, and ask to speak to someone about the Skills Support for Redundancy project.

For Employers

The European Social Fund (Convergence) is providing funding for businesses based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, being affected by downsizing or redundancy, to train or up-skill their staff through the Skills Support for Redundancy project.  

A range of skills training is available that will assist in supporting employees at risk of redundancy as well as re-skilling remaining staff, such as Employability Skills, NVQs, IT training, and short courses.
