Neil and Tina were invited along to meet the students of Year 6 at Carclaze Primary School who are saying farewell to teacher Miss Morton who is moving onto another school (Nanpean).

The class was busy working on their production programmes - so we found out all about their performance preparations.

Also, Miss Morton is gong to miss the Year 6 trip to London - we found what the kids will be doing.

Finally - a few other cast members from the production tell us about their roles!

The kids are very sad to see Miss Morton leave them, and revealed some of her bad habits such as sitting on a table instead of a chair, and she always talks about her lovely dog. She can also be 'a bit strict' was one of the lovely quotes.

But then we did introduce Holly with lots of scrummy cakes from Prima Bakeries to cheer them all up!

Thanks everyone for sharing your school dinners with Neil and Tina, plus the cake visit from Holly Day!.

Neil and Tina were invited along to meet the staff and students of Newlyn school who described their immersive method of teaching.  The classroom tour was amazing and completely engaging especially the shipwreck and cave in Year 1.

Of course the school were preparing for a week of SATs but still found time to have an impromptu concert of their jazz band, who had recently been performing at the Hall for Cornwall, and where Neil caught up with his Niece! And then it was time for a nice cup of tea.....

If you missed School Dinners on air, you can listen again:

We meet the school swing band.

Year 6 have transformed their classroom into a train station, so we head to the cafe!

Some of the kids join us for a refined cup of tea (and jam tart) in proper china!

Thanks everyone for sharing your school dinners with Neil and Tina.

Neil and Tina were invited to Gulval Primary by pupil Harrison Cockle.  It turns out that Neil played football on the playing fields, when he was at Heamoor primary and whilst outside, we ended up in a handstand competition with Principal Mr Paul Baker! Who won?

If you missed School Dinners on air, you can listen again:

We meet pupil, Harrison Cockle whose mum sent the invitation for us to visit the school, and the boys get chatting about football.

The Rota Kids on the committee have been fundraising and all the school took part in a Walk for Hope fundraiser - walking 273 miles in aid of Nepal - good luck to Year 6 with their SATS next week too.

The kids, Tina and Mr Baker get involved in a handstand competition! Sadly no video evidence but it was great fun...

Thanks everyone for sharing your school dinners with  Neil and Tina.
