Truro City of Lights Parade

POSTPONED TIL JANUARY 31st

The festive season kicks off with Cornwall’s biggest lantern parade, with 30,000 people expected to pack into the streets of Truro to see local school children and groups showcasing a magical display of over 600 lanterns. Getting the atmosphere started will be street performances including samba, brass bands and pipes & drums. Pick up a car sticker from the Pirate FM Love Crew in Victoria Square from 5pm, ahead of the parade starting at 7pm.

Newquay Christmas Lights

Friday 24th November

Join Lucy from the breakfast show for the big countdown at 7pm at the bottom of Marcus Hill with Cornish singer Daisy Clark!

Daisy will be performing from 6pm before the arrival of the parade at 6.45pm with Santa, local schools with lanterns and stilt walkers from Swamp Circus.

Fireworks will be held at Newquay Harbour at 8:15pm with late night shopping until 8:30pm in selected shops.

 

Penzance Christmas Lights

Saturday 25th November

Join Hometime’s Holly Day for the big switch on at 4:30pm by the Humphry Davy Statue, plus throughout the day there’ll be a Christmas Market, Musicians and bands playing, and key buildings across the town will be lit up as part of the Celebration of Light.


St Austell Christmas Lights

Tuesday 28th November

It’s the first night of late night shopping in St Austell and Pirate FM’s Lucy Start will be on stage for the big light switch on at 6pm in White River Place.

From 4pm there’ll be choirs, live music and a special performance from Carclaze School. Come along and pick up a car sticker from the Pirate FM Love Crew.

Rowe’s Real Reindeer Parade

Weds 29th November

It’s the first night of late night shopping in Truro and your chance to meet the real reindeer in Victoria Square from 6pm and then watch the procession around the city from 6.45 pm.

See the Pirate FM Love Crew at the new ‘Santa Stop’ outside Rowe’s Cornish Bakers on Lemon Quay, where you can pick up a car sticker and enjoy festive treats and caroling!

 

Falmouth Christmas Lights

Thursday 30th November

Lucy from the Breakfast Show will be helping to warm up the crowds ahead of the big switch-on on The Moor at 7pm.

The children’s parade starts at Events Square at approximately 5.30pm and finishes on The Moor, where the schools perform Christmas songs and carols before the countdown. Lots of food, drink and festive fun to be had.


Bodmin Christmas Lights

Friday 1st December

Neil from the Breakfast Show will be doing the big countdown at 7pm where you can also pick up a car sticker or glow stick from the Love Crew. The parade starts at 6pm from the Old Library, with singing and music on Mount Folly from 6.30pm.

Santa's Grotto will be in Chapter Ei8ht at the bottom of Honey Street and The Big Man will be there from 5.30pm!

Wadebridge Christmas Weekend

Friday 15th December

The Love Crew will be in town to kick off a weekend of festive fun with the spectacular firework display at around 8.15 - be on the bridge for the best view!

Plus there’ll be children’s rides, choirs, brass band, Santa’s grotto and late night shopping until 8pm.
