Salary: £30,000 - £39,000pa – negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week/Full Time

About Havencare - Established in 1987 in Plymouth, Havencare is thriving, providing direct support services across the South West to over 100 people, with a growing workforce of 250 staff and the potential and passion to do so much more. To succeed in this role, you will be:

  • Either a band 6 or higher NHS professional or with equivalent experience; an aspiring senior leader experienced in social care; a leader in learning (training in social care related disciplines); or have other transferable experience, skills and attributes that may be a match for this unique role.
  • Inspired by the thought of making a tangible difference to many people’s lives with learning disabilities, autism, and other cognitive conditions; and can be inspirational to those that provide their support.
  • Driven to influence the evolution of an outstanding Charity in its next phase of growth.
  • Versatile and confident to quality assure and develop practice across a broad remit and geographical area.

In this new role you will lead a small team of Quality Officers responsible for workforce scheduling support, learning and development, quality systems, policy and procedure reviews, quality marks and accreditations. You will use your professional expertise and personal attributes to:

  • Develop and lead organisational policies and practice in the provision of outstanding support.
  • Be an internal and external influencer; working with our workforce, stakeholders, and partners to lead exemplary practice development and delivery – especially in positive behaviour support
  • Be a Safeguarding Lead who is never afraid to provide strong challenge and strong support
  • Translate policy into practice through the procurement and delivery of outstanding learning and development.
  • Deputise for the Director of Support in their absence, providing line management support to the Registered Managers
