An RAF Association Branch is a self-sufficient registered charity, that forms part of the Association. Through the work of branch members, the Association is able to meet its charitable object of supporting the RAF family. Branches are responsible to the Central Council and Area Council. Duties of Branch Treasurer include: Receive fees and other monies, disbursing as authorised Maintaining books and accounts in accordance with rules Present financial statements and compile accounts

Training required

Training will be provided by the Branch.

Time commitment

The time commitment of a Branch Volunteer will vary according to the role and Branch you are volunteering in. Estimated time for Truro is 5-10hrs per month.
1hr per month is required to attend Branch Committee meeting.
Additional time required to complete Minutes and deal with correspondence in consultation with other Committee members, where applicable.

Skills and attributes required

Must have the ability to record all basic financial transactions, and control expenditure in the Branch.  The Treasurer does not have to be an accountant to perform this role.
