UPDATE: Woman Trapped After Crash

A woman has ended up trapped after a car flipped over onto its roof near St Dennis.

Firefighters were called to Hendra Downs on Saturday lunchtime.

Pirate FM understands the casualty was cut free using crash rescue equipment.

Paramedics also got the call just after 12.30pm, but it is not known if she was badly hurt.

Ruth posted to Nanpean News: "Car on its roof between Nanpean and St Dennis... emergency services at scene".

Posting on Pirate FM's Facebook page, Yvonne said: "Oh my! Yet another crash in Cornwall - there have been so many lately. There is something very wrong, somewhere".

Carl added: "Hope she's ok! Weather has been on and off today!"

A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from St Dennis attended a single vehicle collision.

"On theit arrival they found a vehicle on its roof with a female trapped in the vehicle.

"Crews are using crash rescue equipment to release the casualty. Ambulance are also on scene".
