Cornwall has come out on top in a new 'Rough Guide' style book for children.

'The UK, Our Way' has been put together by kids who have been rating their favourite holidays.

Looe has been named best spot for crabbing, Roskilly's dubbed the best ice-cream and they love our beaches.

Guide spokesman John Waterworth said: "It's the variety of things that they can do on the beach so whether they're going rock-pooling, whether they're building sandcastles, whether they're learning to surf, whether they're going on bike rides; there's a plethora of things that children can do within Cornwall that they all enjoy.

"We've split the guide into six sections so we have fantastic food, we have beach fun, outdoor fun, we've energetic days, we have making memories and we've also got learning and exploring so there are lots and lots of different things. I think the thing they like about Cornwall is the variety of things you can do in a relatively short distance."
