Phillip Schofield's Mum Injured After Fall At Newquay Beach

Phillip Schofield has dashed down to Cornwall after his mum broke her wrist on a Newquay beach.

The 'This Morning' star had to go to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, after she fell on Fistral.

The presenter has posted on Twitter, piling praise on staff at Treliske.

Writing on the social networking site, he said: "Didn't expect to be in sunny Cornwall this weekend, but my mum breaking her wrist falling on Fistral beach has certainly altered plans."

"Thank you so much to the amazing team at Treliske Hospital in Truro for the wonderful care mum got over the last couple of days. #faultless"
