There is a fresh warning that past cuts to customs' staff have left Cornwall's borders wide open to drug smugglers, after a raid on a yacht.

£20 million of what is thought to be cocaine was found on board The Windrose, bound for Falmouth.

Now St Ives' MP Andrew George is calling on the UK Border Force to review the security of its cover in west Cornwall

He said:  "I suspect that this seizure was more the product of luck than judgement. I had raised concerns when the last Government cut the numbers of Customs' officers and facilities around our coast. I fear that drug smugglers can just walk in through our 'front door'."
