Rugby: Cornish Pirates Back in Action

The Cornish Pirates say it is time to draw a line and look to the club's future.

 

This as the lads gear up for their first pre-season friendly.

 

It is a three-way match with the Cornish All Blacks and St Austell at Polson.

 

The Pirates have spent a summer of training and building up new links in the community.

 

CEO Josh Lewsey told Pirate FM: "To call ourselves the Cornish Pirates we need to represent Cornwall ... the whole of Cornwall rather than merely just Penzance. So only through truly being very inclusive, putting stuff back into the schools, into the other clubs and trying to keep some of our best talent in the county.

 

“We’ve got a decent size squad now, we've got a decent level of competition and there's a great buzz and a great feel amongst the squad and one hopes that that enthuses across the whole county as well because we need people to get behind us."
