Forecasters tell Pirate FM Cornwall's bank holiday weather will be the best in the country.

It is set to be one of the busiest in years, with thousands of visitors heading to the Duchy.

Becky Yussuf from the Met Office said we can expect plenty of sunshine and temperatures into the twenties:

"The jet stream has moved North allowing the warm weather to come up from the continent, and we've also seen some large areas of high pressure come across, so we've seen settled warm weather.

"Last year unfortunately, the jet stream was well to the south of us and that allowed a sequence of low pressure systems in, and that's why we saw all that rain.

"As far as September, it's a bit too far to say at this stage. But into next week, we've got high pressure building in so it does look fine and settled, with temperatures about where they should be at this time of year."
