Cornwall has had its warmest, sunniest and driest summer for seven years, according to reports.

Pirate FM understands that the Met Office has said despite the July heatwave, 2013 will not be a record-breaker.

Forecasters think it has felt better because the last couple of years have been a wash-out.

Sarah Goodwin runs the Seaview International campsite at Gorran Haven and says: “We have some fantastic scenery here, gentle sloping coastline and beautiful, beautiful colours. It’s lovely to walk the coastal path and there’s so many little beaches and coves that they can go to, it’s absolutely wonderful.”
