The Plymouth boss wanted goals - and he got them.

Argyle are through to the second round of the FA Cup after thrashing non-league Lincoln 5-0.

Striker Reuben Reid got a hat trick.

Gaffer John Sheridan is hoping it brings to an end the side's goal drought.

He told Pirate FM he thought the score could have been even more one sided: "We had other chances as well. We could have scored more. It doesn't matter who scores the goals but we know we would like to score goals from every angle on the pitch - and to score five tonight was pleasing, very pleasing.

"I felt we played some outstanding football. It doesn't matter who you play - it's eleven against eleven and a lot of non-league teams have made life very difficult for league opposition. But I thought we went about our job very well."

The win means Plymouth now face another Conference side, Welling United, next month.
