Driver Dies in A30 Crash

A man has died in a crash near Launceston.

It is after his car and a tractor hit on the A30 westbound near the Five Lanes junction.

The tractor, towing a trailer, overturned in the collision just after 5pm on Monday evening.

Its driver is now seriously hurt in hospital.

Investigators shut the stretch both ways overnight, reopening it at 1am, some eight hours later.

Police are now tracing the family of the car driver to break the news.
