Coast Path Collapse Near Looe: "Imminent"

cliff collapse

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 7:40am 20th February 2014

There are fears chunk of the cliff path near Looe could collapse at any time.

A stretch at Talland Bay was already shut after huge cracks appeared following the storms earlier this month.

The wild weather on Valentine's Day made that worse.

Engineers from Cormac, Cornwall Council's highways contractor, have visited the site and confirmed a slip is "imminent."

It comes as gales and heavy rain trigger more flood alerts for the Cornish coast on Thursday morning.
