Cornish Pasty Mission
11:49am 21st February 2014
Cornwall sends pasties to flood victims on the Somerset Levels.
Bakeries across the Duchy are joining forces in 'Mission Cornish Pasty.'
It comes after Sarah Phippen who was born in the Duchy but now lives in Somerset, rang pasty makers and friends.
She bakes them and hands them out after they arrive frozen.
Philps in Hayle has already sent 120 traditional steak and customers are donating more.
Sam is the bakery manager and said: "I think it just shows the support and community spirit in Cornwall.
"It's really important to stick together at times like this and we'd like to think that if the shoe was on the other foot we'd maybe get a van full of cider and cheese."
