Police are investigating the discovery of a body in Liskeard.

It was found by a member of the public under a bridge on Lake Lane, just off Plymouth Road, at around 3pm on Friday.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to an incident on Lake Lane, Liskeard around 3pm on Friday 21st March 2014, where a body was reported by a member of public.

"Police attended and cordoned off the area and commenced an investigation. The body is yet to be formally indentified and police are treating the death as unexplained at this time."
