Body Found in Disused Clay Pit

A body has been pulled from a flooded china clay pit in St Dennis.
Divers hauled it from the Trelavour Pit off Hendra Road on Sunday afternoon.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious but think it could have been there for a while
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called just before 3pm on Sunday, 13th April 2014 following the discovery of man's body by a member of the public at Trelavour Pit, Hendra Road, St Dennis.
"On arrival police found the body of the man in the water in the clay pit. The body is believed to have been there for some time.
"The man's body was recovered from the water by police and taken to Treliske Hospital.
"Enquiries are underway to establish the identity of the man and the circumstances of his death.
"The death is being treated as unexplained at this time."
