RUGBY: Cornwall vs North Midlands

Published by the Pirate FM News Teamat 7:01am 10th May 2014.

Cornwall start their County Championship campaign.

The North Midlands make the trip to the Rec in Redruth.

It is after the black and gold's 17-0 win over Devon in the Tamar Cup last week.

Coach Graham Dawe told Pirate FM: "If we can overcome the threat they're going to impose early on in the game with their power, we just need to try and contain them and play our own game and try and get some ball which we can enjoy and enthuse the crowd really.

"A lot of the players that play for Cornwall know the pitch very well, I know the pitch very well but having to play it is very tough sometimes. Just try and get behind us but it's a two way road, we need to play well for them to get behind us, so we're under no illusions there."
