Newquay's Streetsafe cabin re-launches for the summer season.

Operating at night in the town centre, it offers somewhere to go for those who are injured, have been drinking or got separated from their mates.

It is run by volunteers and is designed to take pressure off the emergency services.

Andy Hannan speaks for Newquay Town Council which runs it: "We do have people who may have had quite a bit to drink, they can get quite boisterous and for the police that's something that they have to deal with and it distracts them from doing things that might be more serious.

"We want young people to come down, we want them to have a good time because they are the families of the future. We don't want to make it completely unbearable for them when they come down but we want them to be safe. I don't see any increase in that kind of behaviour, if anything, it is on the decline."

In conjunction with the Streetsafe cabin, Newquay Safe offers a raft of advice and tips on how to stay safe and enjoy Newquay.
