A man has been remanded in custody after a suspected 'road rage' attack in Cornwall.

It is after a man was found with a chest injury, believed to be a stab wound, on the A30 near Lewannick on Monday evening.

At the time a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The man, aged in his twenties, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital for treatment. His condition is described as stable and he has not suffered any life threatening or life changing injuries."

He has since been discharged.

A 50 year old from Tiverton has appeared before Truro Magistrates charged with GBH with intent. He will stay in custody until a Crown Court appearance on the 17th July.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses who can contact them on 101 quoting reference 715 of 2nd June 2014.

Detectives have been back at the scene, between Launceston and Bodmin overnight.

They shut the road between the A395 and A389 to carry out investigations.
