Treliske Parking Petition

Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust

More than two thousand people make a stand against new parking charges at Cornwall's biggest hospital.

Bosses are putting staff permits up to around £300 a year, no matter what they earn.

Unions are livid and say for some, it is 1000% increase.

Assistant practitioner at the Royal Cornwall, David Phillips, has set up a petition and campaign group.

He said: "Well I am hoping that it will spur on the Trust to actually say to use maybe we could negotiate this with you and maybe a more realistic price could be negotiated.

"None of us at the Trust have had a pay rise in the last six years and also now these costs are going up on the parking I feel possibly we're having a pay cut and I think it's making it very difficult for those on the lower bands and the lower wages."
