A Cornish surf school has inundated with donations - after its two sand chairs were burnt out on the beach.

The kit from Wavehunters on Polzeath is used to help get less able bodied people into the waves.

David Cameron is apparently amongst those who wants to help replace them.

Boss (and no relation...) Andy Cameron said: "It's left such a bad taste in everyone's mouths. You can understand they want to have a bonfire - but burning two wheelchairs that have no use to anyone means that nobody can have the access to the water they would have done before.

"It does send out a horrible message that there's nasty people around. But 200,000 people looked at the imagery and shared the images of what happened. It was clear that tourists themselves were equally as embarrassed as locals."
