Crews have been called to a fire at a Falmouth hotel.

They say the blaze on De Pass road was small, but still used breathing gear, a jet and hosereel to put it out.

They brought in back up from Truro yesterday evening.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Falmouth and Truro were mobilised to a reported small fire within a hotel premises.

"Upon arrival, crews located the fire on the ground floor and used four breathing apparatus, together with a main jet and a hosereel to extinguish it.

"A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from within the premises."
