Bodmin Gets A Jobs Boost
3:22pm 15th September 2014
Bodmin gets a big jobs boost.
Cornwall Council says 50 posts are being created as it moves into new offices at Beacon Technology Park.
It will replace several older offices in the town.
It is in conjunction with BT and officials say it will save cash in the long run too.
Alex Folkes pulls the purse strings at County Hall, he said: "BT Cornwall, our partners, have said they are going to relocate 50 jobs from the Truro area up here, but also to create 50 new jobs over the course of the next year as well, that is then expanding their services, it is good news for Cornwall Council and it is good news for jobs in the Bodmin area.
"We need to show that we aren't ignoring north Cornwall, that is an area that hasn't seen as much investment as other parts of Cornwall, in this case BT Cornwall want to relocate here, they want to put new jobs here, that's fantastic."3:22pm 15th September 2014
