It happened in St Austell on Saturday evening.

It was just after 9pm that a man walked into the Spar on Brockstone Road.

He put a bag on the counter - and demanded money.

The female member of staff handed over cash before he fled.

Police say he is slim and was wearing a dark hoody with his face covered.

Officers have told Pirate FM no weapon was seen.
