Emergency services got the call at 9am on Tuesday after she was discovered on the shoreline at Marazion.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The woman has been pronounced deceased at Treliske Hospital.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place although the deceased is believed to be a woman in her 70s who was reported missing from her Marazion home earlier today.
