The Defence Secretary sends a personal Christmas message to Cornish crews in the Ebola zone.

Teams from RNAS Culdrose are among those on Falmouth based hospital ship RFA Argus, dishing out supplies in Sierra Leone.

Michael Fallon says the operation in West Africa is Britain's biggest right now and more squads could be sent out.

He has praised the hard work so far: "I want you to know that the whole country is proud of the contribution that you're making.

"You're not out of mind. We obviously are very proud of the work that you're all doing; you're helping to keep Britain safe as well as saving lives day-by-day and week-by-week.

"It is a feature of service life that you are away at family times of the year. We do our best to try and minimise that but the battle against Ebola is absolutely vital and I'm very proud of the role that our services are playing."
