Two men charged with murdering a builder in an alleged knife and axe attack in Plymouth could stand trial in July.

A judge has set a preliminary date.

It is after Tanis Bhandari was killed at Tamerton Foliot on New Year's Day.

21 year old Ryan Williams and 20 year old Donald Pemberton appeared at Exeter Crown Court via video link on Wednesday.

The pair from St Budeaux are back in custody.

They are expected to enter a plea next month.
