It is thought an injured dolphin spotted off Cornwall could have been bitten by a shark.

Wildlife experts have told reporters they spotted the badly injured common dolphin off Falmouth coast and say the wound does not look like it was caused by a boat propeller because it is not clean enough.

A group with AK Wildlife Cruises were watching a large pod of dolphins east of Falmouth heading towards Gull Rock, but they did not notice the wounds until they got back to look through the photos they had taken.

Now Ross Wheeler from the organisation has been tweeting copies of the photo in the hope of learning more about the dolphin and what happened to it.
