Two Car Fires In One Hour In Cornwall

Emergency crews are scrambled to two car fires in one hour in Cornwall.

Fire fighters were called to Buckler Village near St Austell at around 8.30am on Tuesday.

Teams used a hose to put it out.

A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One fire appliance from St Austell Fire Station attended a car fire this morning.

"The car was situated on a private road and the crew used two breathing apparatus and one hosereel to extinguish the fire."

Elsewhere crews were called out to Green Lane in Bodmin just after 9.30am.

Again the used a hose reel to put the blaze out and the area was cleared up and made safe.

On this incident a spokesperson said: "One fire appliance from Bodmin Fire Station attended this incident.

"The crew used two breathing apparatus and two hosereels to extinguish the fire.

"Cornwall Highways were also requested to clear glass and debris from the road following the fire."
