Man's Body Found In A Dinghy

A body has been found in a dinghy off Falmouth.

Police were called to the Prince of Wales pier on Saturday morning.

Officers say the 44 year old is from the Cornwall area and his family has been told.

Coastguard are assisting the police who say they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: " Police were called this morning to reports of a body inside a dingy near the Prince of Wales pier in Falmouth – just after 7am.

"A 44 year-old deceased male was found inside from the Cornwall area.

"Next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and enquires are on-going."
