Penzance Olympic hero Helen Glover says she's "massively touched" there will be a victory parade through her home town.

Pirate FM and The Cornishman are supporting the event on the 4th September.

We have also got the chance to leave a message in a "book of pride" being presented to the double gold winning rower. Scroll down for a full list of signing points.

Helen has just touched down in the UK in a gold-nosed jumbo jet, after winning another gold in the rowing at Rio.

The customised Boeing 747 with "victoRIOus" emblazoned on the side and 320 athletes and support staff on board landed at Heathrow airport on Tuesday morning. It has the flight number BA 2016.

On hearing news of the victory parade Helen tweeted: "So exciting! Massively touched that the place I grew up is proud of me. Can't wait to share the medal with you!"

It looks like they have had a bit of fun on the flight home...

After winning 67 medals in Rio, including 27 golds, and finishing second in the medal table, Britain's Olympians can look forward to victory parades and royal honours as reward for their success.

The Prime Minister Theresa May has announced there will be a parade in Manchester and a further event in London in October.

Downing Street also said there would be "no formal cap" on the number of honours that can be handed out to Team GB medal winners.

There was a party atmosphere as the team waved goodbye to Rio, with athletes travelling with medals round their necks and posing for selfies with their British Airways pilot and flight crew.

The jet - which will also be ferrying pole vaults, javelins, bicycles and a 6.7m sail back from Rio - was loaded with 77 extra champagne bottles and treats for team members, who were offered a three-course menu.

They will face the media at a news conference shortly after landing.

Team GB's historic success at the Games saw their biggest medal haul in a century with 27 golds, 23 silvers and 17 bronzes.

The team's performances drew praise from the Queen and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The sovereign offered her "warmest congratulations" for an "remarkable achievement".

The Duke and Duchess, meanwhile, lauded the team's achievement as an "inspiration to us all, young and old".
