Crews Battle Car Fire In Bodmin

Firefighters have been called to Bodmin, to douse a burning car.

Crews found it "well alight" on Castle Street.

They wore breathing kit and used high pressure hoses to put out the blaze on Wednesday night.

They were paged just before 10pm, along with police who had to control the traffic.

A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "One appliance from Bodmin was mobilised to this incident.

"On arrival at the scene the car was found to be well alight.

"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hosereels to extinguish the fire.

"Devon & Cornwall Police were required to attend for traffic control".
