One Treated After Bodmin Crash

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 2:50pm 25th February 2017. (Updated at 8:45am 26th February 2017)

One person has been treated after a crash in Bodmin.

Firefighters were called to Boundary Road on Saturday morning, after reports of people trapped.

When they arrived, they found that two vehicles had hit but everyone had managed to get out.

Plymouth Citybus tweeted to warn passengers to expect "severe delays" after it happened just before 10am.

The company posted that one of its services was diverted while closures were in place.

Pirate FM understands a stretch of the road was shut and fire crews were helping with traffic controls.

A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "One appliance along with the Rescue Tender and a wholetime officer attended the scene of a reported road traffic collision with one person trapped.

"On arrival the first appliance discovered that it was a two vehicle collision with no persons trapped, however one casualty required medical assistance.

"The appliance remained on scene to assist with scene safety and traffic control".
