One person has been left in shock after a crash near Hayle.

Firefighters from Tolvaddon, called to Connor Downs on Saturday night, say only one car was involved.

They helped police to clear mud from the road after it happened at Gwinear Road just after 11pm.

A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "One appliance from Tolvaddon attended the scene of a road traffic collision in Connor Downs.

"On arrival crews found a single vehicle collision with one person suffering from shock.

"Crews made the vehicle safe and removed it from the highway. They also assisted the Police with clearing of mud from the road".
