UPDATE: Car Fire Blocks A30 For Two Hours

A car fire has blocked a stretch of Cornwall's busiest road In the middle of rush-hour.

Smoke could be seen billowing across the A30 near Bodmin.

One lane was closed after it happened at Carminow Cross on Monday night.

Crews found it well alight at around 6pm.

Police were called and diversions were put in place while firefighters doused the flames.

Highways England has tweeted to say that both lanes have since reopened.

Crews are waiting to recover the burnt-out vehicle.
