PHOTO: Cannabis seized in drugs bust

Cannabis plants have been seized in a drugs raid near Newquay.

Police carried out a search warrant at a home in St Columb Major on Thursday but no-one was home.

During a search a full setup for cultivating Cannabis was also found.

Officers say it is part of an on-going campaign to target production and supply in the area.

Inspector Dave Meredith said: "This warrant demonstrates our commitment to addressing the concerns of our communities and to meet our responsibility to deter drug production and target those who commit such offences.

"Today's warrant is part of an ongoing campaign to target the production and supply of controlled drugs in the Newquay area.

"Information concerning the supply of controlled drugs can be supplied anonymously to the police via Crimestoppers tel 0800 555 111."
