WATCH: Air ambulance called to Newquay beach

Paramedics were called to a Newquay beach on Thursday morning - after a man suffered a suspected leg fracture.

Emergency services, including Cornwall Air Ambulance were called to the scene on Great Western Beach around 10am.

Following a checkover, he was then taken to Treliske by road ambulance.

A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said: "The call was received at 1006.

"One male casualty was treated with a possible fractured leg.

"He was taken to Treliske by road ambulance".
