WATCH: Cornwall's biggest one day show starts

Thousands are flocking to Cornwall's biggest one day show. 

Exhibitors will be showing off their animals, crafts and food and drink at Stithians Show.

The men of the village set up the show more than 180 years ago, as part of a competition to see who could produce the best quality animals and produce.

It has since become a firm favourite for thousands of locals who flock to the traditional agricultural show.

The  showground opens at 8am and the main show finishes at 6pm.

Pirate FM is among the many exhibitors taking part in the event.

Secretary Jenna Payne had told Pirate FM it is not all about food and farming: "We've got exciting bookings on the main stage. Local Daisy Clark from Newquay. We've got The Steelers from Treviglas School; they're a student steel band. They've had great success including Camp Bestival and Boardmasters last year.

"The Taste of Cornwall marquee is excellent; it's a real showcase of local produce. It's everything from alcoholic drinks to lovely pies and cheeses. It's everything you could wish for that's all been produced in Cornwall".
